We’ve had many requests over the years for our perfect Margarita recipe. I have to give credit to our friend, Restaurant owner and ex-bartender Chris Kelton, who passed this on to me at a party years ago. I’ve never received more compliments than I have with this famous recipe, so please enjoy it (responsibly) with your friends and family.
La Casa Margarita’s 3-2-1 Margaritas
3 oz. Limeade (from frozen concentrate is fine; see recipe for home made limeade below)
2 oz. Tequila (We use 100% Agave! You should too)
1 oz. Triple-Sec
Fill shaker with ice. Add ingredients and shake well. Pour into margarita glasses (salt optional). Enjoy!
For “Cadillac” version: Float 1/2 oz Grand Marnier or Cointreau on top
Miguelito’s Limeade
1 1/2 cups fresh lime juice (about 6-8 limes worth)
4 cups water
3/4 cup sugar or equiv sweetener (for the sugar averse)
Starting with fresh limes, squeeze 1-1/2 cups worth of juice. ( hint: if the limes are in the fridg, put them in the microwave for about 6 seconds then roll them to “loosen” the juice)
Add lime juice, water, and sugar in a pitcher. Stir well
That’s it! ( and yes, we have a juicer in La Casa Margarita ).
